2009 Disc Golf World Championships - Kansas City KS/MO

First I will start off by saying that I have been waiting a decade for a World Championships to be hosted in Kansas City. They showcase some of the best courses in the country and it is centrally located which gives more players the opportunity to attend. I was very prepared and focused to play well; it had been my best season to date and I wanted to make it all worth it.

09 off and Running

Started the 2009 Season off at the Gentlemens Club, and it didn't dissapoint. As always Vegas was Vegas, had a great time seeing all the peeps from last year and was a great way to start off the 09 season. Finshed 30th for my first trip to Vegas but kept my head up knowing the course and the field was very challengeing.

Thawing Out....2009 Season Begins
Submitted by Jack Schmalfeld on Fri, 2009-02-06 12:32.Its been snowy and cold up here in the North Carolina mountains and Ive spent a lot of time playing a variety of winter sports of which disc golf is not one. My practice has been limited to putting in my garage and a few trips to the field to test out some new discs that Innova has sent me. Look out for the Groove, its the heat!
First event since winter hit:
Ashe County Ice Bowl Feb 21st.
I might be playing left handed because I seriously burned my right hand and fingertips but I will be there either way.
Great course, great event, great cause!
