Player's Cup and more...

team huk keepin' it real after the first round.  way to start off boys.  nate, avery, and brinster are all on the lead card after day 1.  huk girl Val stayin in contention.

Wish i was down there too, but with all that we have going on, i haven't been able to play much.  workin' workin' workin'.....all for the good of LOVE.   steve and I are working so hard to get our house done so that we can move in by the New Years.   And, we are also planning our wedding, which will be in Warwick, NY April 25th. so for now, i'm playing disc golf in my dreams.

However, i had a GREAT time playing in September at the Eric Yetter and Sugarbush Open in VT!   then we we're off to USDGC, where i was steve's caddie for the 7th year in a row....he finished tied for 7th.  one of the funnest weeks of disc golf each year.  it was a thrill to watch brinster battle the course.

My Prediction "huk lab World Champions" comes true...

i knew it!  huk lab team rocs!!!   WORLD CHAMPS!!! yeahhhaaa NATE and VAL-  way to represent!  so proud of all you huksters!  what an amazing week it must of been.  i whish so badly i could have been there to celebrate with the champs and all of you!  i was checking scores all day Sunday during my 16 hour shift at the hospital.  VAL, i'm sooooooooo proud of you!  Way to pick up the pace and find your zone and then hold onto that momentum.  Nate, you're the BEST- for yet a second time!  SWEET!

huk lab World Champions!! COME ON!!

unfortunately i could not make it to worlds this year for the first time since 2001.  i really wanted to go, especially since i lived in WI for 6 years (4 yrs in Beloit-college)- 2 years in Madison.  Anyway, with tons of work on the new house and wedding planning, i haven't had a whole lot of time to practice.  so i made the rational, though tough decision not to go.  So i am going to sit back and watch team huk lab tear it up....i think the huk lab sweep of champions is gonna happen!  GOOD LUCK to all of you!!!!! i'll be watchin' scores and rootin you'all on.

The Sweet Seneca Soiree- Maryland

This past weekend I had the biggest win of my career thus far.  I have gone to this tournament the past 6 years, and have always wanted to win.  The first time i played at Seneca was in the Spring of 2001.  I had just met Steve Brinster, and he asked me to go with him.  I was in for a big challenge because i had never thrown a roller and the course at that time, definitely required one.  So i had him teach me in our practive rounds.  Rollers were so much fun , but i was not good at all with them.  Then during the rounds, i remember seeing Angie Martin and Rachel throw them, and i was like, i wanted to be able to do that.

Hall Of Fame Classic

A few weeks ago Steve Brinster and i drove to Augusta for the opening of the International Disc Golf Center.  The drive down was stressful because we were trasnporting the art piece that Steve was commissioned to do for the IDGC.  The sculpture is made out of rock and steel, stands about 4ft tall and weighs approx. 250lbs.  I'll let him describe more details about it, but all i can say is that it looks AMAZING.  You walk in the IDGC, and there it is standing before you.  We'll get some pics up of it for you all to check out.

The park and property is absolutely beautiful.  The opening ceremony was so cool, looking around at all the Hall of Famers, World Champions, and seeing this incredible buidling, you couldn't help but get chills, and think about how far this sport has come.  I had a great practice round with Brinster, Climo and Greenwell.  I was throwing really well, considering that i have not been practicing.  So i was thinking, just throw like this and you'll be fine.  Well, my rounds we're pretty up and down.  I kept landing just next to trees, ,making the run up hard and only being able to throw a set up shot.  So i added on unneccessary strokes quite often.  But my timing and pull threw the zone felt good, so i just played the best I could and got some NT points and had a bunch of fun.

Warmth out West

Finally able to log-in...yesszz.   can't wait to play in Las Vegas for the first time and then roll down to AZ in the SPiRiT with Burl, Val and Brinster.  Sooo looking forward to play in the sun and see my friends!!
