The Tioga and Crew were waiting for me at the Des Moines Airport May 20th 2008. I had no idea what was in store for me! The Trip from beginning to end was unbelieveable! Just being able to hang out with such great golfers as Avery and Val was an honor in its self much less a great tutorial for my own game.  I'll get back to that in a second, more about IOWA, we crashed at Tanner Duncans house! Talk about hospitality! man Tanners crib is overflowing with it!!! And he has the Sneakiest Sick basement stash of frisbees!! some true gems in there!!!But Heres my highlight of the trip! Avery, Val, Tank, and myself are warming up at Ewing park hole 10, its a picture esk hole Down a roling hill about 650ft the basket is gaurded by trees! Well Avery and I are throwing some bombs emptying all four of our bags and it being down hill we are passing the basket very easily! When this local homie (older gent) is watching us throw!(keep in mind the Tioga is 2 feet away) He kindly walks up to us and asks us and i quote "Do you Guys play?" haha and with out missing a beat Avery says ya alittle bit you know! lol Then he continues and asks us if we knew about the tournament that was happening that coming weekend! lol we said "Yes" He goes on and asks if we are playing in it?" Once again Avery's quick wit he comes back with "We don't know?"lol "We are thinking about it but its alot of Money!" lol This guy had no clue who he is talking to! Hold on it gets WORSE! lol he turns around walks twords Val the current Womens World Champion and asks "Oh do you play?" lol Avery and I looked right at each other and tried not to laugh! But Val being as humble as she is just answers "yes" when she could have easily said "Um i'm the best in the World fool! If you pay me i'll give you my autograph lol jk! but seriously this guy had no i dea! This became the inside joke for the next 2 weeks! "Oh do you  play?" "You guys in the tournament?" lol it was some much fun!!! The rest of the weekend went awesome my sister Tracy came in from New York, Avery Won the Tournament everything went to plan!!! Now it was off to Minnesota for the Majestic alittle stop at Cabelas but we were at Kaposa in no time!!! The atmosphere was 2nd to none! it was so beautiful!!! We practiced all the courses prior to the tournament!!! And the tight lines of Blue Ribbon Pine were giving me nightmares!!! Me Being known for my distance i tend to struggle in the woods, Av and Val took 5 mins and had me hitting tight lines with just one simple tweak, it was the single deciding factor in the tournament for me!!!! Blue Ribbon Pine and Highland Hills were on the sickest properties i have ever seen (2nd only to MILO) the tournament was awesome!!!!! Val took first place in the Womens i ended up playing pretty solid in a championship field and taking home 9th I also won the Distance contest besting some big arms!!!(even though it was up hill and i might have had more throws than Avery lol) but he always beats me so it was my time!!!! In Closing a Quick Advertisment!!! Try to get to Worlds and USDGC I bet Avery and I will be battleing again In both of those Distance Showcases!!!! RB i'm out! see y'all out on tour!!!
