What has enabled you to achieve success in the sport?
Desire. I wanted to learn fast so I played a lot and I moved up quickly so that I could learn from better players. It has never been about winning... but pushing myself and having fun.

How do you prepare for a tournament?
I putt. That's all, really.

Goals for 2007
To make some money in pottery so that I can get back out on the disc golf course! I haven't been able to play much this year and I miss it... but I put everything on hold last year to pursue disc golf and now it's time for me to catch up with my life. I want to find a balance between the two.

Pet peeves?
Angry golfers... I know everyone has there moments on the course where frustration catches up... but there are some folks who seem to have a meltdown every round. It makes it harder to enjoy a round when someone is bringing down the whole card.

Have you added any new throws over the off season?
No.

What’s in the bag?
Pro D Challenger, crystal buzzz, flash, crush and surge.

Words of huck wisdom for new players?

Play for fun and push yourself, but cut yourself some slack! It's a game, remember that.

Off the Course:

What do you do when you not out huckin’?
I am a potter. I make handmade stoneware and market it at art shows. Check out some of my work here.

Who are your role models?
My family is full of responsible, hard working people who can take whatever life dishes.

What motivates you?
Whatever I pursue, my main motivation is just to do the very best that I can... I like to push myself to see what I'm capable of

Academic pursuits?
I am done with school for now. I have 183 credit hours at the University of Texas. I pursued a double major in Geology and Studio Art. I minored in botany and anthropology. I worked hard and held a 3.5 GPA. I decided to focus on the art degree and became a potter.
