Have any pre-round rituals? Not really, I usually like to throw a couple of drives off the first tee (sometimes every tee) during recreational rounds. Before tournament rounds I like to putt and warm up backhand midrange shots, then throw a couple of full power shots. What has enabled you to achieve a high degree of success in the game? I think my proficiency in both backhand and forehand throws has helped me to achieve what I have so far.How do you prepare for a tournament? I like to practice the course I will be playing so I can be confident in my choice of throw and disc off the tee before I get there in the round. I also like to give myself at least 30 minutes to warm up before the start of the round in the morning, this time is not so critical for second rounds on the same day as I am still pretty warm from the first round.Goals for 2007 I'd like to place top 3 in the Oregon series and Washington series. I would like to try and attend 3 or more National Tour events (Beaver State Fling, Masters Cup, Memorial). I'd like to win $5,000 in PDGA money and finish in the tip 30 at both the Pro Worlds and the USDGC.Pet peeves? Players who are loud and obnoxious after a bad shot or hole. Players who swear too much or too loud. Players who use drugs during sanctioned play. Players who blame the course.Have you added any new throws to your game? I am working on perfecting overhand shots (thumber & hammer) and using more backhand rollers for distance. What's in the bag?- 3 champion Orcs (175g)- 2 champion Starfires (172g/174g)- champion Teebird (171g)- KC Pro Teebird 11X (175g)- 2 champion Eagle (172g/175g)- champion Firebird (172g)- champion Beast (174g)- pro line Beast (170g)- 2 CE Valkyrie (172g/174g)- 4 KC Pro Roc (177g-180g)- Special Blend Roc (180g)-2 DX Aviar (172g/175g)- DX Big Bead Aviar (172g)Words of huck wisdom for new players? It is important to improve in accuracy before power and putting before driving despite the inherent desire in all of us to do it the other way around. In my experience it can be very helpful to know both the forehand and the backhand shot and be confident with both.

What keeps ya busy when your not out huckin' golf discs? When I'm not playing golf I might be playing with the Oregon State Ultimate Team or in class at Oregon State.Who are your role models? I have a lot of respect for my parents and the way they live their lives. What motivates you? I am motivated by the desire to improve and be competitive at a high level.Academic pursuits? I am currently pursuing an Environmental Science degree.Personal pursuits, dreams? I'd like to continue to improve in both disc golf and ultimate. I would like to go on tour someday and compete for the the National Tour title. I would also like to help the Oregon State Ultimate team qualify for a first ever trip to the UPA Nationals. I'd also like to learn more about freestyle frisbee. I'd like to graduate from OSU and find a job that I enjoy.Life goals?
