Welcome to the Disc Golf Club of Albany's web site. The DGCA was founded in 2003 by five members with the following goals: to promote completive disc golf in our community; create and maintain disc golf courses in the central Willamette valley; and create an inclusive, safe, and fair disc golf community. To these ends we continue to work on projects that we started in 2003.
The WDGC serves disc golfers in the Corvallis , OR area.
Our Mission is to provide a place for Willamette Valley disc golfers to meet and organize their efforts for the betterment of disc golf in the valley. We have two courses in the Corvallis area. An 18-hole basket course at Willamette Park and a 18-hole basket course at Adair Park. Try them both for some nice variety.

The Eugene Disc Golf Club was formed in 1992 by local Eugene area Disc Golfers with the intent of fostering a community of saucer tossers in the Southern Willamette Valley. The Club has expanded from the original three founders to a roster of over 150 disc golfers from all over the Pacific Northwest. The EDGC now sponsors two PDGA tournaments every year, the Great Northwest Open in April (Apr 28-29,2007) and Eugene Disc Golf Celebration Tournament (Sept 8-9,2007) in September. Both tournaments attract over 140 participants and the Celebration Tournament has been doing it for 17 consecutive years! Both tournaments are also part of the successful Oregon Series of summer disc golf events held across the state. The EDGC is proud to be associated with the Oregon Series since it's creation in 2002. During winter the EDGC is a sponsor of the Oregon Liquid Environment Series of eight Disc Golf Tourneys held around Lane and Benton counties. These enjoyable tournaments have been run by EDGC member Tom Embree since 1993! The Club has actively promoted the sport to new players through clinic outreaches for kids in grades K-12 and sponsorship of deserving local Amateur players to attend Disc Golf events throughout the USA. In 1997 the EDGC embarked on an ambitious proposal for a new 18 hole Disc Golf Course at Dexter State Park outside of Eugene. Through the hard work of volunteers from the EDGC and generous donations from Disc Golfers from all over Oregon, in June of 2001 the first 18 baskets were planted in the ground at Dexter Disc Golf Course. Currently the EDGC has submitted proposals for disc golf courses at Lynx Hollow, Richardson, and Laurelwood parks. Lynx Hollow has been approved and the installation should begin in the next year. In the future the Club hopes to keep its positive involvement with the growth of Disc Golf in Oregon and the Northwest as one of it's top priorities!

The Charlotte Disc Golf Club serves disc golfers in the Charlotte, NC area.
The club has had several names since it's inception in 1979. They are: Charlotte Frisbee Club
Cooperative, Charlotte Frisbee Club and Charlotte Disc Golf League. The "Charlotte Frisbee Cooperative" was originally founded in the late 70's by a University of North Carolina at Charlotte student. "Frisbee Golf" was played on campus using light poles as targets and even a corner of a building. In the early 80's, a course was developed in Latta Park in the Dilworth neighborhood near uptown Charlotte. The targets started out as marked trees,
moved to hand-crafted cedar posts and eventually baskets were installed in the late 80's.Thanks in a large part to tireless efforts of local Hall of Famer, Stan McDaniel, Charlotte has
become a true mecca for disc golf. In particular, his course designs at Hornet's Nest and
Renaissance define the local scene. The blood, sweat, and tears shed at Renny to make it
possibly the most challenging course in the world (while fair and fun), have earned
Stan the title, Mule #1.In 1986, the PDGA's World Championships came to town, organized by Steve Lambert. Temporary
basket courses were setup at Reedy Creek, Hornets Nest and Latta Park for this event. A decade
later, the World's returned in 1997 at the permanent Hornets Nest course and Winthrop University's
Lakefront Gold Course in neighboring Rock Hill, SC.A web presence was created in July, 1997 to promote the World's event and to celebrate the
completion of course improvements throughout the city.Since then Charlotte has been an active disc golf city with many regularly scheduled events
that have been well attended and enjoyed by thousands.

The Great Lakes Disc Golf Club is a collection of local Disc Golf enthusiasts who love the sport of Disc Golf. It is through their combined efforts that the sport of Disc Golf exists in the Milwaukee, and the south east Wisconsin area!
The main mission or purpose of the Great Lakes Disc Golf Club is the promotion and the betterment of the great sport of Disc Golf. It is our intent to sponsor, promote and spread the word about our sport and improve the Disc Golf scene in the greater Milwaukee and Wisconsin area. Of the many ways that it is possible to accomplish this tremendous task, the GLDGC works through local events like major, annual, nationally and internationally recognized local tournaments, Disc Golf Clinics held during the summer season specifically geared toward young people, and charity events such as events that sponsor local food banks, and specially sponsored events which donate dollars to organizations like MDA and the MAACC FUND.
The GLDGC is also working to expand the availability of courses in the Milwaukee and South East Wisconsin area by meeting with many local municipal officials and explaining to them the many advantages of having Disc Golf Courses in their local parks and public lands. Your membership support helps us go a long way.

The club has many aspirations in its first year and we are looking forward to a productive 2006 season.
