Week 1- The Rocky Mountain Womens Disc Golf Championship | Superior, Colorado
The family loaded up our tour rig the ‘Zephyr Zap’ and departed Portland on the 4th of July for a 6 week tour through the Mountains and Midwest. We drove through Oregon heading east late into the night. It timed out perfectly as we were able to enjoy the small city fireworks buckled in our seats and skip the noise and air pollution.
Our first stop was in Superior, Colorado for the Rocky Mountain Womens Disc Golf Championships. We’ve heard so much about this all womens event and the beautiful course layout unique to the event. We met up with our good friend Bryan and hit the course to see what the stir was all about. Hole 1 tees off 400+ across water, and the course gets even better from there. 18 holes are spread out over the parks rolling hills along side small ponds and paths creating fun challenging fairways.
We set up shop at tournament central alongside the events presenting sponsor Dynamic Discs and local vendors Gypsy Disc Golf, Throw Colorado, and the Mile High Disc Golf Club. The club put on an amazing event! With a late drop I was even able to play the event and I was not disappointed. Each competitor was designated a caddy and I was lucky to get teamed up with Cashen (thanks again for putting up with all my bad jokes and mediocre play Cashen!). Our boys had a blast camping in the Zephyr Zap for the event. The whole atmosphere was very family friendly. With juniors competing on Saturday with the FA2 divisions, and Pro/FA1 divisions playing a round each day, tournament central was always buzzing.
Shout out to the Mile High Disc Golf Club for a successful event that lives up to all the hype! We hope to venture out to Colorado for more events and huk life adventures in the future!
Week 2- Harbour & Sportsman Family | Lake of the Ozarks
After the RMWDGC we shot straight across to Missouri for some long overdue and much needed time with our Harbour-Sportsman family. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Love you all and thanks for all the wonderful memories!
